HOLIDAY CRAFTING WITH COOKIES & HOT COCOA

  • The Mountainside Restoration Committee, Inc. Constitution Plaza Mountainside, New Jersey, 07092 United States (map)

In the spirit of their Gingerbread Open Houses of the past, the Mountainside Restoration Committee will host a Holiday crafting session with Cookies & Hot Cocoa on Saturday, December 4th from 2-4pm (rain date is Sunday, Dec. 5th). The event will take place on the grounds of the beautiful holiday-decorated Hetfield House. So, mark your calendars, gather the family, and stop by the Hetfield House before the Borough’s tree lighting!

Due to Covid concerns, the Committee will not be holding its Annual Gingerbread Open House indoors this year but invites all to attend this festive holiday crafting event.

Crafts will include the ever-popular live boxwood holiday arrangements and special one-of-a-kind gingerbread themed ornaments. Adults and children are welcome to participate. The cost is $10 which includes one living boxwood arrangement craft, one gingerbread ornament craft and cookies & hot cocoa. Additional cookies & hot cocoa will be for sale. Participants will complete the craft on-site and all materials and instruction for crafting are included. Stop by at any time between 2pm and 3:30pm to assure completion of the crafts before dark!

The Historic Deacon Andrew Hetfield House is located on Constitution Plaza adjacent to the Mountainside Library (off Birch Hill Road). Funds raised will benefit the Mountainside Restoration Committee which is a 501(c)3 charity and a committee of volunteers whose purpose is to restore and maintain the Deacon Andrew Hetfield House and the Levi Cory House and collect and save historic information and items from destruction.
