The Mountainside Restoration Committee’s MRC Estate Sales division will be conducting an outstanding Estate Sale to raise funds for the maintenance and restoration of the historic Deacon Andrew Hetfield House and Levi Cory House.

     The sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 23 & 24 from 10:00am–3:00pm. Numbers will be given out at 9:00am. No early birds. This sale will take place in Mountainside and the address will be announced on Thursday Feb. 22nd here. Purchases are limited to cash only.

     This sale features many quality vintage treasures and collectibles plus furniture, household and personal items including an original Beatles lithograph, miniature child Singer sewing machine, lots of furniture including a dining room table & 6 chairs, bedroom furniture, misc. small tables, etc., many liquor advertising mirrors, decanters, promotional items, etc., costume jewelry, perfumes, cameras and photographic accessories, chandeliers, lamps, lots of vintage Christmas items, games, china, glassware, figurines, albums, DVDs, wall art, men's clothing, and tons of miscellaneous items.

     MRC Estate Sales are conducted by trusted volunteer Antiques Experts and Estate Sale Professionals with 30+ years of estate sale experience. Most important, a percentage of this sale’s proceeds will benefit the Mountainside Restoration Committee.

     MRC Estate Sales was created to give back to the community and raise additional funds to help preserve and restore local history. The reasonable commission percentage of sales goes directly to the Mountainside Restoration Committee, Inc. which is a 501(c)3 charity.

     The Mountainside Restoration Committee is a committee of volunteers whose purpose is to restore and maintain the Deacon Andrew Hetfield and Levi Cory Houses and collect and save historic information and items from destruction.​

The Mountainside Restoration Committee’s MRC Estate Sales division will be conducting an outstanding Moving Sale in Westfield to raise funds for the maintenance and restoration of the historic Deacon Andrew Hetfield House and Levi Cory House.

     The sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, January 26 & 27 from 10:00am–3:00pm. Numbers will be given out at 9:00am. No early birds. This sale will take place in Westfield and the address will be announced on Thursday Jan. 25th HERE. Purchases are limited to cash only.

     This sale features many quality furniture, household and personal items including Murano glass figurines, Eames and other mid-century modern chairs, furniture including complete Valley Furniture dining room set, Sterling silver, artwork, oriental rugs, tons of porcelain and glass including Tiffany and Waterford, quality clothing including dozens of packaged new items, dolls including American Girl accessories, piles of new Vera Bradley items, Bosch washer & dryer, quality racing bikes, electric snow blower, extensive camping equipment, tools, and so much more. House is packed including garage and basement.

Annual Family Gingerbread Open House - Reservation Required

The Mountainside Restoration Committee invites all families with children to attend their annual Family Gingerbread Open House on Sunday, December 11. Visitors should make reservations to attend in 3 limited space shifts: 1-2pm, 2-3pm and 3-4pm.

The Hetfield House will host many interactive events and activities for children, including decorating gingerbread-themed ornaments, making mini holiday arrangements, a guessing contest, mulled apple cider and baked goods to enjoy - all surrounded by festive holiday décor and music. Despite their busy work preparing for the holiday, Mr. & Mrs. Claus promise to visit the children and share holiday cheer. Bring your cameras for pictures! A suggested donation of $5 per person or $15 per family is requested.

On both days, the Levi Cory House Holiday Boutique will be open featuring Holiday décor items, ornaments, jewelry, gifts, crafts and other curiosities – both new and vintage. Items by local crafters and Mountainside specific items will be available as well, however in limited quantities, so shop early for the best selection. We look forward to sharing this wonderful holiday tradition with you!

Shop The Village Shop @ Levi Cory

Welcome Fall and welcome to the newly stocked Village Shop! Our volunteers have readied the shop for the Fall and Holidays and have lots of wonderful one of a kind items for you to browse. Inventory is updated on an on-going basis. You never know what you might find! Whether you are looking for antique furniture, art deco pieces, silverware, home goods or even some hand made pieces by local artisans, keep The Village Shop on your list of places to pop in to. All proceeds go towards the preservation and restoration of the Hetfield and Levi Cory houses.

The Village Shop will be open for business from 11am - 3pm on the following dates: Sept. 2, 3, 16, 17; Oct. 7, 8, 21, 22; Nov. 4, 5, 18, 19; Dec. 2, 3, 16, 17 from 11am to 3pm. Hours of operation will be from 11am - 3pm.

Why not consider donating your sellable items to this year’s MRC Annual Garage Sale! All proceeds from the sale go to the restoration and preservation efforts of the MRC. To learn more about the work of the MRC, please see our “About Us” page.

The Mountainside Restoration Committee is asking the community to donate sellable items on Thursday, September 16, from 9am - 4pm. Receipts are available for donations.

Please note, that only sellable items will be accepted for donation. Items that are broken, worn, obsolete or otherwise unsellable will not be accepted. No large furniture, books or clothing please. If you are unsure, consider whether or not you would purchase the item yourself at a garage sale.

The Mountainside Restoration Committee invites all families with children to attend their annual Family Gingerbread Open House on Sunday, December 15, from 1 - 4pm. Both the Hetfield House and the Levi Cory House will be decorated for the holidays to welcome community members.

Spring just wouldn’t be complete without the Mountainside Restoration Committee’s annual plant sale! Each year the community is invited to purchase beautiful spring flowers while supporting the history of Mountainside in the process. Geraniums and other spring plants, including hanging baskets, will be available for sale from 9am - 4pm, Thursday, May 2 - Sunday, May 5 at the Andrew Deacon Hetfield House.

The annual MRC Raffle Drawing will take place at 1pm Sunday, May 5th. Winners do not need to be present. Keep an eye out for updates on raffle prizes which will be posted soon and good luck!
